2014, A Year in Review… Luxury Homes, Healthcare, Assisted Living, Multifamily and a NEW office in Denver!

12 Dec

Where to begin! This year has been full of exciting new developments for Aneka Interiors. We continue to take on more projects and broaden our scope of services in a continual effort to stretch the boundaries and challenge ourselves with new opportunities for creativity and growth. At Aneka Interiors, we strive to be an ever adapting design firm, always looking for a new challenge. The satisfaction of each project completed inspires the joy that each new project brings.   Residential Update With 18 years experience, Aneka continues to lead the market in Luxury home design. Her attention to detail, unmatched creativity, and vast knowledge on products, materials, and the building process never fail to impress. One of the beautiful homes completed in 2014 is described & pictured below. The interior completes this unique property with a “Modern meets Rustic” concept in Wyoming. As you enter this one story ranch you are greeted with extraordinary views and a fun mix of contemporary colors and rustic materials.  The beetle kill wood was used on the great room and kitchen ceiling with exposed beams.  Metallic tile and quartz make up the linear open fireplace.  One of the master bathrooms is super chic with the use of high gloss white lacquer cabinets and turquoise Ann Sacks tile. The powder bath is unforgettable with the use of linear stone and glass on the floor and walls, vessel sink and waterfall quartz counter top… not to mention the lights! This home is truly one of a kind. We even had the pleasure of working with Hamilton Zanze to update the interiors and  furniture for some existing properties in Utah and Texas this year.   Pictured below: The Preserves apartment community in El Paso, Texas. Paint & flooring were updated as well as new clubhouse community room & office furniture. Furniture was ordered and installed for this project in under 4 weeks!!! photo photo 3   Photos by Lindsey Braddock Pictured below: Holly Creek Retirement Community in Centennial, Co. Marketing Room update, before and after! We updated the furniture, artwork & window covering in this room & enhanced the use of the space by selecting furniture of a smaller scale to accommodate the same number of seats while making the room feel larger. The new color scheme helps brighten the space and gives it a welcoming and cheerful feel!

Aneka and Lindsey visited the Las Vegas Hospitality Design Expo in May, where tons of new building materials & furniture products are displayed. These trade shows are important to our business for a number of reasons. Not only do we get the opportunity to see the latest & greatest, these shows serve as inspiration, a way to get outside the office, to shake up our routine and inspire our minds. The show was amazing this year, and we found ourselves taking note of so many remarkable design details outside the show as well, as many of you know the hospitality interiors in Vegas can be quite awe-inspiring. NEW DENVER OFFICE!!! Last but not least… We are beyond excited to announce the opening of our new office in Downtown Denver! Located at 1045 Lincoln Street. We look forward to serving more of you in the Denver market while maintaining our presence in Northern Colorado. We will hold a Grand Opening Party on January 8th! More details to come!!!   Wishing everyone Happy Holidays!!! Aneka & Lindsey

Also, take a look at this article on Houzz that recently featured one of our designs using arabesque tiles.

The photo below shows the entire kitchen, but you can look at the photo in the article to see a close up of the arabesque tiles we used in the design.

April 2012 Highpoint Market

7 May

Hi All!

We wanted to share a little recap of our latest market trip. We visited the spring furniture market in Highpoint, North Carolina the last week of April. Market visits are important to us as they help keep us up-to-date on current trends and allow us to see new products that are being offered for each season. This is one way we can find new inspiration and be able to offer our clients the best possible ideas and solutions to meet their design needs.

This year we spent 4 days at market and visited more showrooms than I can count! I’ll start by talking about some of the trends we saw this time around and then post some pictures of our favorite pieces!

The theme of this market seemed to be a sort of “modern classic” concept in which streamlined modern styles or more contemporary fabrics are combined with classic furniture designs, lines and shapes to create some great transitional furniture pieces that could appeal to almost anyone.

This chair below is a great example of this combination of a funky, vibrant Ikat fabric on a traditional chair frame.

This chair also exemplifies how a classic frame can be given a completely different feel by using a bold striped fabric and painting the frame black.

Many of the showrooms we visited were using taupe/grey or deep plum colored paint as a neutral backdrop, while others painted their entire showroom a saturated teal color which was really eye catching. Teal seamed to be a popular color in smaller doses, but the colors that we found most prominent in fabrics and accessories were: plum, tangerine, and chartreuse.

The pictures below showcase the use of these 3 colors. Lots of contrast!

Another big trend was this grey-washed wood shown in the dining set below and a unique console in the second photo.

Chevrons & Ikat were very popular fabric patterns. These benches below were one of our favorite pieces! (notice the grey wash wood finish here too)

And finally, here are some of our favorites!

This sofa’s arms double as bookshelves or a place to put accessories =)

Petrified wood tables

Check out this great table base~

Very cool wood trunk-coffee table

That’s all for now!

Let us know what your favorites are! We had a blast at market this year and appreciate everyone stopping by to check out our blog. We are looking forward to a busy summer full of great design and plan to have some of our latest projects photographed and posted on our website later this year! http://www.anekajensen.com
